30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 2

Hello all, it’s Day 2 of the 30 Day Writing Challenge and I am excited to continue this fun project! This past week has been so incredibly exhausting, and I wasn’t able to write yesterday because I was sick in bed. Thanks to my magical cold remedy (recipe will be listed below), I’m feeling a little bit better. Now on to day 2 of the writing challenge:

Day 2. Write something that someone told you about yourself that you never forgot

I will never forget my mother told me a dream she had about me. In Armenian culture, and particularly in my family, dreams have been very important. A lot of the times, they end up telling us things about our life or even foretelling events to come. And so, my mom told me about a dream she had of me receiving a giant award in a large auditorium, being guided up velveted red staircases by men in tuxedos, and a giant room clapping for something I did.

Although it was “just a dream,” it has undeniably motivated me in times when I feel like my workload is too much. I use it as part of my inspiration to keep on going and to do something great. And so, I know that my time here on Earth has promise, something beyond my comprehension. I can’t wait to get to that point and be able to help countless people.

Anashe’s Natural Remedy for Colds

  • 1 Tablespoon of organic shaved ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon of organic lemon juice, add in some zest as well
  • 1 teaspoon of organic honey
  • sprig of fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1 -1/2 cup boiling water

Stir and let it cool a little before you injest!

This has been a part of my daily routine recently, and I can’t explain how much more clear I feel in the mornings. If you ever feel a cold coming, try out this tea! When I’m not sick, I usually go for a ginger/cinnamon, ginger/cayenne mix…depending on how I feel.
